Downloading these files

These files are .txt files, comma-delimited, with fieldnames on the first line.

The file AllMetalProvenience contains provenience data for all of the metal artifacts. This provenience data was copied from the artifact files and combined; therefore AllMetalProvenience contains no unique data.  Looking at AllMetalProvenience is the best way to gain a quick overview of all the metal finds.

It is suggested that when you download these files, you format the following fields as text fields rather than number fields:

SerialNo
SFNo
BagNo
Level
Layer
FeaNo

The meaning of these field names and the entries can be found in the codebooks for each artifact class.
