Award Recipients

The Early Career in Southeast Asian Archaeology Award was the first award of its kind to be established. As scholarly understanding of Southeast Asian anthropology expands, the need for proper theoretical frameworks and new researchers increases. This award is meant to help facilitate the work of those in this field and praise their persistence in publishing one of their first major papers.

The award is specifically for those archaeologists whom have defended their PhD’s  within 5 years of the paper submission deadline. For more information about applying please check out the following article.
