Congratulations to Hermine Xhauflair, recipient of the 2nd ISEAA Early Career Award in Southeast Asian Archaeology!

Hermine received a certificate of recognition at the 21st Congress of the Indo-Pacific Prehistory Association meetings at Hue, Vietnam. Her award is based on her submission as lead author of “Characterisation of the use-wear resulting from bamboo working and its importance to address the hypothesis of the existence of a bamboo industry in prehistoric Southeast Asia” published in the prestigious peer-reviewed journal Quaternary International.

The review committee included 5 professors: Ben Marwick, Miriam Stark, Grace Barretto-Tesoro, Lisa Kealhofer, and Lars Foglin. The announcement of guidelines for the 2019-2020 round of competition is now posted.
